A cashier worked at a cash register. One morning, he started out with $100.00. A customer came to his cash register and gave the cashier $50.00 and the cashier gave the customer 80 cents in change. Another customer came and gave the cashier $300.75. The cashier gave the customer $78 in change. A third customer bought two twelve-packs of soda. Each can cost 10 cents. How much money does the cashier have in the cash register right now?

At a stuffed animal factory, a strange thing happened--the snakes came out with two heads! Five trucks accidentally delivered them to stores. Each truck held twenty boxes and each box held thirty snakes. In the store in Kyoto, they became a must-have toy. On the day it arrived, 5,000 obsessed kids pushed through the doors of the store to get a snake. The second day, a fifth of the people that came yesterday went to the store. The third day, a fourth of the people that came the day before came. How many people came the third day?

“Are we there yet?” I asked. My dad replied “Almost, Honey!” We were on our way to the Southlake Festival to sell his game, Scramblers10. When we arrived, our tent was crawling with costumers who had seen our game on ‘American Inventor’. There were 300 games in each of our 3 boxes. We sold a 10th of one box by Friday. We played the game with all 94 pieces and Dad, the inventor, won. By Sunday, we had a 30th of a box left. I asked dad “How many did we sell?” He replied, “Do the math!”
6th Grade

From 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., 62 people rode the Shockwave roller coaster at Six Flags. From 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., 60 people rode it. From 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., 61 people rode the coaster. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., 65 people rode. What was the average number of people who rode the Shockwave per hour over this four-hour period? How many people actually rode the roller coaster total?

The Bee mascots in Bryant Elementary are very excited because the annual “Bee” Your Best Stinky Contest is coming up! The students must bring something very personal that has a stinky odor to it.
